As a director I am drawn to epic plays—plays that are sprawling in scope, that challenge assumptions of power and look into the difficult and grey abyss of ambiguity. I work primarily in adaptations of classical plays and novels, exploring work that collapses the past with the present. My enduring love of literature influences my work, and I find myself drawn to plays filled with bold, dense and difficult language. My work exist where academia, poetry and movement collide: where form and content become equal.
